Saltwater Fish Diseases and Treatments

The most effective way to deal with diseases is to prevent it by minimizing stress.

But even if you manage to deal with it, unfortunately it will still strike one or more of your saltwater fish.

Pathogens that cause diseases are in and around your fish’s natural setting and in your aquarium. They may be bacterial, viral, fungal or parasitic.

The bad thing is that there’s not a lot of treatment available for us aquarists and there is no guarantee that our saltwater fish will be saved.

We will cover topics on how you’ll be able to recognize and treat the diseases that are most common in the home aquarium.

Bacterial Infections

There are good and bad bacteria. And all bacteria are microscopic one-celled organisms are capable of reproduction at a very fast rate.
