Feeding Saltwater Fish
Feeding saltwater fish often occur too many in a day.
For the health and enjoyment of your fish, DO NOT over do it!
Try feeding only as much as they will consume in about two to five minutes time. And try to do it on schedule.
Most fish do well if you do it them twice a day. And please remember, more frequent and smaller ones are better.
If there is uneaten food left on the saltwater floating around, remove it with a siphon or net.
This will help you not to change water chemistry that can affect the health of your fish.
Also, try to understand your fish dietary needs. Proper nutrition is important for their health. Like humans fish also needs the basic nutrients: protein, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals.
Choose the food that is right. Try using a combination of flake, frozen and fresh foods if you can.
Here is an article written by Terry D. Bartelme at Marine Aquarium Advice that informs you on how your fish will be healthy by feeding them better.
Also, when you go away for vacation or for the weekend. Try using automatic feeders when you’re away. Or have someone fish sit for a regular feeding and regular water chemistry checking of the saltwater aquarium.
